Mustelids are animals part of the taxonomic group 'Mustelidae' which includes weasels, stoats, ferrets, polecats, martens, fishers, tayras, otters, minks, wolverines, and badgers. All of these animals share common characteristics such as their carnivorous diets, excellent hunting (weasels for example are able to take down prey five times bigger than themselves), and round faces. While most of these creatures are defined by their elongated bodies and short limbs, badgers and wolverines have a much more stocky build. The family 'Mustelidae' is included within the superfamily 'Musteloidea' which is also home to the familes 'Procyonidae' (raccoons and coatis), 'Ailuridae' (red pandas), and 'Mephitidae' (skunks). Note: the toon patrol used to go in this folder but then I decided to make a different folder for them to go into 'cause why not.
